About the Book:

This book is concerned with Symmetry, Group theory, and its Chemical applications. This textbook is a genuine attempt to provide sufficient information for the student to be able to attempt their end-semester and several competitive examinations. It will be useful for faculty and students of B.Sc., and M.Sc., Chemistry. The textbook is divided into five units, the first unit Symmetry Operations and Symmetry Elements, the second unit Point Groups, the third unit Properties of Character Tables, the fourth unit Group multiplication table, and the fifth unit Objective Questions on Group Theory and Its Chemical Applications are covered. The way the subject matter is presented hinders students from memorizing by rote. In fact, the subject has been organized around Symmetry, Group theory laws, and concepts. Students will quickly be able to predict much of what will happen after mastering these rules and principles.
